Child Safety: Baby Seats and Booster
While driving with children in the car, there are a number of key features that should be remembered:
Ensure that the baby seat is suitable to the child's height and weight
Baby seats come in two styles, forward facing and rear facing and are categorized into groups which graduate into booster seats and booster Cushions. Booster seats do not need a harness in place. Once seated in the booster seat, the seat belt is used normally.
In Ireland it is illegal for children to travel in a car without a baby seat, or for children under 150cm tall. For more information about the child safety options offered by Thrifty Car Rental, or about any other service, please do not hesitate to contact us.
