Dublin Airport Facilities

Dublin Airport is by far Ireland’s largest and busiest airport with over 21 million passengers passing through its gates each year. To cater for the growing number of passengers it has excellent facilities and the construction of a second state of the art terminal is to begin soon.

Dublin Airport has all the facilities you would expect from a modern airport. It has banks and bureau de change situated throughout the airport; left luggage in the car park atrium; an airport information desk and tourist information desk in the arrivals concourse; a post office; a church; pharmacies; and an executive lounge.

You will also find a good choice of car rental companies in the arrivals hall. This range of choice should ensure that you can find a good deal. A good bet is Thrifty Car Rentals, which offers a good range of cars at reasonable prices. However, if you are arriving in peak season you should book ahead at Thrifty.

Dublin Airport also has an excellent choice of shops and places to eat. Retail outlets include Hughes and Hughes Books, Sunglass Hut, Monsoon, Accessorise, Louis Copeland and many more.

There is also a good choice of bars, restaurants and cafés to suit all tastes. Dublin Airport also has excellent facilities for the disabled. The terminal building is fully accessible and wheelchair friendly. All lifts cater for wheelchairs and there are designated easy access car parking spaces available at ground level in the car park with an intercom link to car park control.

If you are travelling with your family, there are baby-care and nursery facilities available and most toilets have baby changing facilities.

So if you are landing at Dublin Airport on your visit to Ireland you are sure to have a pleasant start to your journey.
