From Sat 30th August, drivers of vehicles using the section of the M50 between Junctions 6 and 7 will have no option to pay cash as the area is now designated a “barrier free tolling area”. Up until recently it was the responsibility of the driver to pay the toll, but from 23 Jun 2009, Thrifty Car Rental will pay all tolls and pass on the charge to customers. For more information about the M50 toll please click here.
Mounted cameras will capture the driver’s registration plate which will be used when the toll has not been paid. Drivers who fail to pay this toll will be liable to the toll charge plus penalties. Please be aware that customers are responsible for their toll and non payment fines.
In order to be liable for the toll you have to travel along the section of road between Junctions 6 and 7. The lined section of road denotes the tolled section.
