Dublin Airport Departures

The main departures hall in Dublin Airport is located on the first floor of the main terminal building. While there are other check in areas operational during peak periods, these are all well signposted and the main departures hall is probably going to be the point of arrivals for most people.
Most airlines operate on the basis of either online check in or self service check ins which means travelling from arrivals to the security queues can be very efficient. Like in all airports, it is important for security reasons to keep close control over your baggage and be prepared for the security procedures. All traffic from Dublin Airport currently travels through one of three Piers, A, B or D which are well signposted upon exiting the security checks. While Pier A and B are located nearby, Pier D will take between 10 and 15 minutes to walk to.
The departures hall and surrounding areas have a full range of facilities on offer including banks, bureau de change, left luggage, information desk, post office, pharmacies and several shops. In the mezzanine level including cafés, bars and fast food outlets.
