Dublin Airport - Delta Airlines Factsheet

Delta Air lines - Dublin Airport

Introduction

Delta Air Lines is one of the largest US airlines in operation. Delta joins American Airlines, Continental and US Airways in providing transcontinental between Ireland and North America. US-bound passengers flying with Delta benefit from the US Customs and Border Control pre-screening facilities at Dublin Airport.

Check In Facilities

Delta Air offers comprehensive check-in facilities at Dublin Airport. Passengers can check in online before arriving at the airport, or they can take advantage of automated FastPass kiosks in the departures area. According to the Dublin Airport Authority, internationally bound passengers do well to show up at least 90 minutes before departure. Bear in mind that US pre-screening protocol adds time to the check-in and security procedures.

Dublin Airport Location

Delta Air check-in facilities are located in Terminal 2 on the ground floor. The desks are located alongside those of other international carriers in areas 1-28. Terminal 2 is well designed, and the check-in facilities are the first thing that passengers see on passing through the ground-floor entrance.

Delta Airlines Flights

Delta Air has two routes on offer from Dublin Airport Terminal 2. One connects to New York’s JFK International Airport. The other route links Dublin to Delta Air’s major hub at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta.

Dublin Airport is one of only two airports in Europe to offer US Customs and Border Control pre-screening facilities. Delta passengers will go through this screening before boarding. Upon landing at New York or Atlanta, they will be able to bypass immigration and be treated as domestic arrivals passengers.

Delta Airlines Lounge Facilities

Delta Business Elite, Sky Team Premium and Sky Team Elite Plus passengers may be eligible for lounge access at Dublin Airport. Bear in mind that lounge access may be limited during peak travel periods, especially early before large transatlantic flights depart.
