Dublin Airport Security Checkpoints

Like all international airports, the security check through process at Dublin Airport is strict. You will have to proceed through a number of security checks. These checkpoints are largely concerned with what is and is not permitted on the airplane itself under the EU Security Regulations.

  • Allowed
    • Liquids up to a maximum size of 100ml each
    • Liquids must be packed in a re-sealable transparent bag
    • Bag must be no larger than 20cm x 20cm
    • One bag per person
    • Sealed bags must be presented separately at security check ins
  • Exceptions
    • Essential medicines
    • Baby food – which must be presented separately
  • Not Allowed
    • Liquids, gels, pastes or lotions over 100ml each
    • Partially full containers over 100ml
    • Overpacked bags
    • Sharp items

When passing through the security screening, you will be required to place the bag containing liquids in the trays provided. Jackets and laptops must also be placed in the trays provided. Bags are provided for sale in Dublin airport for €2 for two bags.
