County Donegal Accommodation - The North West Region of Ireland

Donegal offers some of the most stunning scenery in
Ireland, while still managing to stay off the beaten path. This means
miles of empty unspoilt beaches and a relaxed atmosphere that is hard
to find anywhere else in Ireland. It also means that accommodation is
plentiful and of very high quality. Whether you are looking for a
high-end hotel or a cheap campsite by the sea, you will find it in
Donegal.
Two of Donegal's major tourist centres are Donegal Town and Bundoran and both offer excellent accommodation to suit every budget including hotels, hostels and campsites. In Donegal Town, the Millpark Hotel is a good option. For four-star luxury overlooking the sea in Bundoran, check out the Great Northern Hotel. There are also plenty of family self-catering options in Bundoran, such as Atlantic Apartotel.
There are excellent hotels dotted all along Donegal's stunning coastline. If you plan to stay in Ballybofey, then Jackson's Hotel and Kee's Hotel are definitely worth checking out. Or if you are looking for some real luxury with great views, Carlton Redcastle Hotel & Spa in Moville on the Inishowen Peninsula is a great place to relax for a couple of days.
Some other excellent Donegal hotels to look out for are Ballyliffin Hotel and Bayview Hotel in Killybegs, both of which offer comfortable lodgings and great food amid stunning surroundings.
However, there is much more to Donegal accommodation than just hotels. Everywhere you go in Donegal you will find homely, family-run bed & breakfasts and guesthouses. Another popular choice for visitors to Donegal is renting a cottage. This provides a unique way to experience local life while living in a comfortable self-catering home. Irish Cottages Donegal has a range of cottages to choose from in a variety of locations, while Bridge Cottage, a genuine thatched Irish cottage, and Bankhead Cottages are other options.
For the budget conscious, Donegal also has plenty of campsites and youth hostels. If you are a fan of eco-tourism then you will want to check out Omagh Hostel at Glenhordial Farm, or if you are looking for an idyllic place to camp for the night you should not miss Dungloe Caravan Park.
